Lakeland Montessori School House, situated at 1124 Lake Parker Ave N in Lakeland, Florida, is a public charter school serving grades K–6 under the Polk County Public Schools district. With a student–teacher ratio of about 12 : 1, it offers smaller class sizes compared to the state average of around 17 : 1.
The school reports math proficiency in the 80-89% range and reading proficiency in the same high band, both markedly above Florida’s average proficiency rates.
Though primarily K–6, many graduates continue on to Lakeland Senior High School, which has produced notable alumni including MLB players such as Chris Sale and Matt Joyce. Given its strong academic outcomes and Montessori framework, the school appeals to families looking for early-grade rigor in a nurturing environment. For housing reference, three-bedroom rentals in the Lakeland area typically range from US $1,800 to $2,500/month, depending on neighborhood and condition. With its high proficiency rates, low student–teacher ratio, and good feeder pathway, Lakeland Montessori School House stands out as a compelling option for families prioritizing academic excellence.

A. With approximately two-thirds of students White and roughly one-third Hispanic/other minorities (˜34% minority enrollment) and very low eligibility for free/reduced-price lunch (~7%) according to data, the school serves a relatively advantaged socioeconomic cohort.Families should assess whether the peer-environment and available supports match their expectations.
