Hill Central Music Academy

Hill Central School, also called Hill Central Music Academy, is a public school in New Haven, Connecticut, for kids in grades PK–8. There are about 410 to 430 students and 13 students for every teacher. The school uses a music-integrated learning approach, which means that students learn the basics while also taking structured music lessons to keep them interested. There are a lot of different kinds of students, and about 96% of them are minorities, most of whom are Hispanic. A lot of the students come from families that don't have a lot of money, so they can get lunch for free or at a lower cost. Hill Central School's grades are lower than the state average.
