About Stargate Charter School

Stargate Charter School is a K–12 public school for gifted kids located in Thornton, Colorado that opened back in 1994. Now, Stargate has grown into one of the best charter schools in Colorado and serves students that learn quickly, developing having the extra challenges in the classroom. The school has just over 1,500 kids, and they receive a top notch education that includes strong academics, creative projects, and support for social and emotional development. Students score very highly on state standardized tests, especially in math 73% and reading 79%. Stargate charter school has been selected as the best public elementary/middle school in Colorado by numerous sources. We can see how engaged the parents are, and the school is operated and governed by a board that they elect. Stargate Charter School provides an incredible environment for gifted kids to grow, learn, and thrive in a caring and challenging educational environment.

Latest News

The school year begins with a number of important dates for families and staff. Online check-in will open through Infinite Campus from July 14 - August 7. The Stargate Community Market will open on July 27 for everyone from 10 AM to 12 PM. Students can expect their schedules to be available in Infinite Campus during the week of August 4. For medical needs, the form drop-off will take place from August 4-8 from 7:30 AM - 10:00 PM. During this same week, Stargate staff will be involved in Staff Development. Elementary Kick Off Night will be held on August 7 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM for younger students and their families to meet. Lastly, Flight School will be held on August 11 to prepare the students to start a new school year.
