Woodland, California is a historic city in Yolo County with a population of about 60,000. Because of its farming history, cute downtown, and family-friendly neighborhoods, Woodland is a great place to live. Most of the elementary schools in the area are run by the Woodland Joint Unified School District. It runs a few private and charter schools, as well as a number of public elementary schools. Schools help a lot of different kinds of students and focus on core subjects, STEM programs, the arts, and after-school activities. The state has praised some schools for how well their students do in school and how much progress they make.
