Indian Valley Elementary School recently started its "Kindness Challenge" to promote good behavior and social-emotional growth among students of all ages. The school is getting ready for the yearly 5th Grade Science Camp. During the third week of March, there will be information sessions for parents. Also, student leaders are planning a day to make the campus look better by planting native California flowers and shrubs along the main entrance to the school.
Q1. What is the "Kindness Challenge" at Indian Valley Elementary?
Ans. This program encourages good interactions between peers and helps students grow socially and emotionally by having themed acts of service every day on campus.
Q2. Does Indian Valley Elementary have a science camp for 5th graders?
Ans. Every year, students go to an outdoor camp for several days to learn about nature and how to protect the environment in a natural setting.
Q3. Who is in charge of making the campus look nice at Indian Valley Elementary?
Ans. Student leaders set up a beautification day to plant native California flowers and shrubs along the main entrance to the school.
Q4. What is the mascot for Indian Valley Elementary?
Ans. The Coyote is the school's mascot, and students show their pride in the coyote at weekly spirit assemblies and other school events.
Q5. Does Indian Valley Elementary School teach students how to play instruments?
Ans. The district's music program is open to students in fourth and fifth grades who want to learn how to play string or woodwind instruments.
