Food Share of Ventura County and E. P. Foster Elementary School have teamed up to start a monthly Food Pantry to help families get healthy food. The OCEAN Afterschool Program at the school is a very important way for kids to connect with their parents and teachers. More than 130 students get help with their schoolwork and sports from it. Jumpstart Preschool sessions also take place on campus. These sessions help local toddlers get a good start on their early learning.
Q1. How do volunteers get cleared to work at E. P. Foster Elementary?
Ans. People who want to volunteer must go to the district office and get a Live Scan background check and a negative TB test result.
Q2. Is there a dual language immersion track at E. P. Foster Elementary?
Ans. E. P. Foster is not a dual immersion site, but it does offer strong support for all students who want to improve their English language skills.
Q3. Does E. P. Foster Elementary have counseling services that are specific to certain needs?
Ans. During school hours, students can talk to school-based counselors who help with social and emotional health and resolving conflicts.
Q4. What do families need to do to get to the E. P. Foster Elementary food pantry?
Ans. Food Share of Ventura County runs the monthly food pantry with the help of local families.
Q5. Is there a special "drop-off zone" for parents at E. P. Foster Elementary?
Ans. To make sure that students can safely cross the street in the morning, parents must follow the traffic safety pattern on West Main Street.
