Sylmar is a neighborhood in northern Los Angeles with about 90,000 people living there. There are many different families that live there, and there are both public and private elementary schools. The district that operates most of the elementary schools is LAUSD, which emphasizes academics, diversity, and extracurricular activities. A lot of schools are great because they have great programs, teachers who care, and chances for students to do things outside of class. Sylmar schools not only have a strong academic base, but they also host community events that bring families together and get students involved.
