About Albert Einstein Academies

Albert Einstein Academies is a public charter school in San Diego, California that serves students in grades K–8. The school has about 1,400 to 1,450 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 24 to 1, which is normal for big urban charter schools. Albert Einstein Academies focuses on preparing students for college and the world by offering programs that follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and a strong dual-language teaching model. Along with core academic subjects, the curriculum includes language development, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking. The student body is very diverse, with an estimated 69% of students being minorities, mostly Hispanic, but also White, Asian, Black, and multiracial students. Many students come from families that are not well off, which helps make the school a welcoming place to learn. Based on available academic data, 42% of students are good at math and 47% are good at reading and language arts. The school is strong because it focuses on international issues, has language programs, and has a diverse community. It is also working hard to improve academic outcomes for all grades.

Latest News

The???????????????? local citizens have been very concerned about the Albert Einstein Academies for some time now. This is mainly due to the fact that the principal of the elementary school campus was dismissed abruptly without any prior notice. The community of staff and families were in disbelief when the superintendent of the school announced that a credential requirement was the reason for the principal's departure and that she had been in charge of the academy for more than ten years. Teachers, parents, and alumni of the school reacted negatively to the decision. Many of them were so dissatisfied with the lack of communication that they demanded the presence of an emergency school board meeting to get answers.

People remain unhappy with the modification of the language immersion programs at the school and are questioning whether the charter school complies with the district's regulations. That is the reason for changes in ????????????????leadership.
