Being Updated
Sequoia Elementary recently worked on making families more involved and making sure students were happy through seasonal school activities and events in the classroom. This helped make the campus a more welcoming and supportive place.
Q1. Is A. M. Winn Waldorf-Inspired a neighborhood school, or do you have to apply to go there?
Ans. A. M. Winn Waldorf-Inspired usually takes applications or runs a lottery within the district, and anyone can enroll, not just people who live nearby.
Q2. Does the school offer transportation for students who are enrolled?
Ans. The district's rules and the student's eligibility determine how available transportation is. For students who meet the requirements, there are only a few bus services available.
Q3. Do teachers and students use digital devices or technology often in class?
The school uses technology in a limited way that is appropriate for each child's age. In the lower grades, there is more focus on hands-on learning, and in the upper grades, there is more use of technology.
Q4. What tests do the school give to students?
Students are evaluated through a mix of tests given in class, tests given by the district, and tests required by the state.
Q5. What can parents and guardians do to help out at school?
Ans. Parent groups, volunteer opportunities, school events, and classroom support activities are all ways for families to get involved.
