SAVA, or Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy, is a public charter high school in Sacramento, California that only serves students in grades 9–12. It is the only school in its district and serves about 1,100 students in a specialized blended learning environment, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 25:1. The school is known as one of the best because it combines Career Technical Education (CTE) with academic recovery. The campus is very diverse, with 89% of students being minorities and 73% of students being from low-income families. SAVA, or Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy, says that 13% of its students are good at reading. The school is well-known for its partnerships with the community and its focus on getting students ready for the workforce. This program gives students real-world experience in fields like automotive technology and culinary arts. The vocational training centers on campus have been updated with new equipment for students who want to get industry-standard certifications along with their high school diplomas.
