Latest News

The "Urban Farmer" project at Leo A. Palmiter Special Education is a success. Students learn about biology and vocational horticulture by using the school's sustainable garden. The school recently updated its vocational training labs so that students can practice office skills, cooking, and retail management in a simulated professional setting with the latest technology. The campus is also starting a new community-based instruction program that lets students learn real-life skills by going to local Sacramento businesses and civic centers once a week with a teacher.
