Los Angeles County Rancho Palos Verdes is a coastal city with about 42,000 people living there. Families like the city because of its ocean views, quiet streets, and well-kept neighborhoods. It is on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and is a quiet place to live, but it is still close to cities. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is the main provider of elementary education in Rancho Palos Verdes, but there are also a few private schools. Schools in the area work on building strong reading and math skills from the very beginning. Many campuses also have programs in the arts, sciences, and other areas that help students grow as a whole. Several schools in the city do well on state tests, which means they get good grades all the time.
