Being Updated
All of March 2026, Hillery T. Broadous Elementary will have Banked-Time Tuesdays. Students will be let out early at 1:25 PM on these days so that teachers can work together. The school recently won the California PBIS Silver Implementation Award for its commitment to making the classroom a safe and welcoming place to learn through positive behavior. The campus is also celebrating its new status as a Leader In Me school, where kids learn important life and leadership skills every day.
Q1. Is there a student leadership council at Hillery T. Broadous Elementary?
Ans. Elected student representatives get together often to talk about ways to make the school better and plan fun events for the whole campus.
Q2. What are the rules for checking out books at Hillery T. Broadous Elementary?
Ans. Once a week, students go to the library to borrow books and work on their research skills with the librarian.
Q3. Does Hillery T. Broadous Elementary School put on a talent show every year?
Ans. The school puts on a spring showcase where students can show off their creative skills and talents to their families.
Q4. How does Hillery T. Broadous Elementary keep an eye on safety on campus?
Ans. The whole perimeter is fenced in, and all visitors must check in at the office to keep students safe.
Q5. Are there any special art classes at Hillery T. Broadous Elementary?
Ans. Integrated art lessons that support their core academic curriculum help students learn about different types of art, such as painting and ceramics.
