The Butte County Office of Education is working with Sierra Avenue Elementary School to add more after-school programs that will be good for the school. This program helps kids with their homework and gives them a safe place to play every day until 6:00 PM. The school also takes part in safety drills that happen all over the district to make sure that all students and staff are ready for dangers in their area.
Q1. Is there a full-time art teacher at Sierra Avenue Elementary?
Ans. Specialized teachers come to classrooms to teach about different art movements and techniques.
Q2. Is there a person who helps out in the library at Sierra Avenue Elementary?
Ans. A staff member helps students find books to read and runs the digital checkout system for all grades.
Q3 Does Sierra Avenue Elementary take part in district track meets?
Ans. Students compete against other schools in the area in a variety of sports events to encourage physical fitness and healthy competition at school.
Q4. Does Sierra Avenue Elementary have any coding classes?
Ans. The curriculum has computer science lessons for beginners to help students learn the basics of programming and logic.
Q5. Does Sierra Avenue Elementary have a program for breakfast?
Ans. Every day, the cafeteria serves healthy breakfasts to make sure that all students are ready to learn when they get to school.
