The district has commended Edison Elementary School for its commitment to early literacy intervention, specifically for students in kindergarten and first grade. Recent OMSD reports show that students have improved their foundational reading skills with the assistance of class-based reading strategies. The campus has also organized a Family Reading Night that shared a commitment to early achievement in their students and attracted great involvement by families within the surrounding community.
