Kids can hang out and play outside during breaks at Loma Verde Elementary's new shade structure. The administration is now asking parents to come to special board meetings in February 2026 to talk about changes to policies that affect the whole district. As they take their mid-trimester tests, students are thinking about the school's core values of Joy, Pride, and Growth.
Q1. Does Loma Verde Elementary School have a childcare program on site for families?
Ans. The campus has a licensed before- and after-school care program that helps students with their schoolwork and lets them play under supervision.
Q2. What is the school's official mascot, and how do students show their school spirit at Loma Verde Elementary School?
Ans. The Bear is the school mascot, and every Friday students are encouraged to wear school colors to celebrate the school's accomplishments.
Q3. Is there a special program at Loma Verde Elementary School for kids who are learning English as a second language?
Ans. Students can improve their English language skills and learn the core curriculum at the same time by going to daily English Language Development sessions at the school.
Q4. How do teachers at Loma Verde Elementary School usually celebrate students' birthdays in the classroom?
Ans. To promote health, the school encourages celebrations that don't involve food, like giving a book to the library or sharing stickers.
Q5. Can parents help with the Loma Verde Elementary School garden projects?
Ans. People who want to help with weekend garden workdays to keep up the outdoor learning beds used for science lessons are welcome.
