World Report put Escalona Elementary on its list of the "Best Schools" for 2026 because it has high academic standards. Recently, teachers from all over the area came to the campus to see the new ways of teaching "Choral Counting" and "Mathematical Thinking." The school is also successfully expanding its Dual Immersion Spanish program so that more students can do well in both languages.

Ans. Under California's Universal Meals Program, all students get free breakfast and lunch every day.
Q2. Does Escalona Elementary have any programs that teach both English and Spanish?
Ans. The campus has a growing Dual Immersion Spanish program that aims to promote bilingualism and academic success.
Q3. What are the exact hours of the day for Escalona Elementary?
Ans. Every Wednesday is a minimum day, which means that students have a different schedule and leave school early at 1:00 PM.
Q4. What does Escalona Elementary do to keep students safe on campus?
Ans. The school has strict rules for checking in visitors and uses district-wide ALICE training to make sure everyone is ready for an emergency.
Q5. Do parents at Escalona Elementary have a chance to volunteer?
Ans. The Escalona PTA is a very active group of volunteers that runs school events and helps the community.
