Recently, AVID students from Grange Middle School went to Solano Community College and other nearby universities, like UC Davis and Sacramento State, to look into their options for college. The AVID program set up the visits, which included tours of the campus and information about academic programs, including STEM-related pathways. The college outreach events were meant to give students direct experience with different career paths and higher education options.
Q1. What sets Grange Middle's academic environment apart?
Ans. Grange Middle's main goal is to get teachers to work together to plan lessons. Grade-level teams make sure that lessons are consistent and build on each other in all subjects.
Q2. How do students get ready for high school?
Ans. Academic counseling and planning for classes early on help students understand what is expected of them and how to reach their future educational goals.
Q3. What kinds of activities does Grange Middle do to make learning more fun?
Ans. Electives and organized activities give students a chance to be creative and learn new things while still doing their main schoolwork.
Q4. Does Grange Middle School provide organized help with homework?
Ans. There are specific support sessions and intervention strategies led by teachers that can help students learn more and fill in the gaps in their skills.
Q5. What does Grange Middle School do to work with families?
Ans. Caregivers learn about things through digital announcements, meetings with parents, and events on campus that happen all year.
