Eureka, California, is a historic coastal city in Humboldt County with a population of about 27,000. Eureka is a small town that is ideal for families. It is famous for its Victorian buildings, its location on the water, and its active arts community. The Eureka City Schools are in charge of most of the elementary schools in the area. They run a few private and charter schools, as well as a number of public elementary schools. Schools help many different kinds of students by focusing on core subjects, STEM subjects, the arts, and activities outside of school.
