El Dorado Hills, located in El Dorado County, California, has about 50,000 residents, and the population continues to grow as new developments appear across the area. The area north of Folsom Lake, east of Sacramento, boasts many family-friendly neighborhoods, low-density housing, and ample opportunity for outdoor activities. It is also central enough that many families find themselves in this area because of the combination of these attributes. The Buckeye Union School District and the Rescue Union School District, along with several nearby private schools, primarily provide elementary education.
