Being Updated
The Sycamore Rocks Elementary School choir recently gave a great performance at the State of the District update for the district. The school is currently working to raise the overall reading and math scores as part of its local accountability goals. Families are being asked to fill out surveys that will help the school decide what its safety and teaching priorities should be in the future.
Q1. Does Sycamore Rocks Elementary have a mascot and colors for the school?
Ans. The Miner is the school's mascot, and students are encouraged to wear navy blue and gold, the school's colors.
Q2. What does Sycamore Rocks Elementary's "1:1 technology" policy mean?
Ans. To help them learn, every student in grades 1–6 gets a Chromebook to use during the school day.
Q3. Are there any programs at Sycamore Rocks Elementary that teach kids about the environment?
Ans. Because of where it is, the school includes nature-based learning and outdoor science activities in the regular elementary school curriculum.
Q4. How can parents find out about the dates of events at Sycamore Rocks Elementary?
Ans. Families should check the school website's monthly calendar and keep up with news on ParentSquare.
Q5. Do parents have a drop-off loop at Sycamore Rocks Elementary?
Ans. There is a designated valet loop where staff help students get out of their cars to make sure they arrive safely and on time in the morning.
