Being Updated
The Aptitud Community Academy at Goss in San Jose, California, is a very busy place! The school just held its third annual Falloween Trunk or Treat. It was a fun and safe place for families and students to be. This event shows how much the school cares about the health and well-being of its students and wants them to feel like they are part of a community.
Sandra Garcia, the acting superintendent, also gave good tips for Attendance Awareness Month. She talked about how important it is for kids to go to school every day and how the district is helping them do that. The school is also getting ready for things like the EL/ML Parent Townhall Meeting and Family Friday Art Night. This shows that it wants to help students learn and grow by making strong connections.
Q1. What is the main focus of the Aptitud Community Academy curriculum?
Ans. Students learn by working together in groups, doing projects, exploring STEM fields, and doing arts and crafts. These activities help them come up with new ideas, figure things out, and think about things in a new way.
Q2. What does the school do to help kids learn new languages?
Ans. Teachers give all of their students activities that are full of language, guided reading, group projects, and scaffolded instruction to help them all get better at reading and talking to each other.
Q3. What kinds of programs help people improve their mental and emotional health?
Ans. Mindfulness classes, character education, peer support, and counseling services all help students understand their feelings better, become stronger, and get along better with other people.
Q4. What do parents do while their kids are in school?
Ans.Families help their kids learn and grow socially by volunteering, going to workshops and events, and working with teachers.
Q5. Do kids get to do things after school?
