Being Updated
So, Kumeyaay Elementary School in San Diego has had some kids shine at the district science thing! A bunch of 3rd to 5th graders showed off projects covering stuff like green energy, plants, and basic robots! Judges liked how curious and creative the kids were, and how well they explained their ideas. Some kids are even moving on to the county science fair.
The school says this is because they're really getting into hands-on STEM learning and teamwork. Teachers have said that doing science fair-type projects in class has helped kids get excited and be more confident when thinking critically.
Also, the community pitched in to make the school look nicer by planting flowers and fixing up the outdoor spaces.
Basically, things are going well at Kumeyaay Elementary – the kids are into learning, the community is involved, and everyone's supporting each other!
