Cherokee Point Elementary is highlighted in the media due to a major reform initiative that targets education quality across the state. The community of the school is among those that have come to the conclusion of the need of raising more money for education as evaluated in the 202627 California state budget. School figures are beaming, teachers, parents, and school leaders jointly expressing how crucial it would be to make sizable investments in early childhood education, mental health services, and youth intervention programs not only at Cherokee Point but throughout the San Diego Unified district. Their demand for more resources comes when people are concerned that the unpredictable nature of funding might put the achievement of students and delivery of wrap, around services at a standstill.
