BASIS Scottsdale Primary – East Campus is open tostudents fromkindergarten through 4th grade, although some sources indicate the presence of 5th grade. Student enrollment is from 525 to 616, year to year. In the 2020–21 school year, proficiency rates in math and reading were 81% and 86%, respectively, both extremely high compared to rates in the state. Approximately 66% of the student body is a minority group. Racially, it is approximately 42% Asian, 35% White, 10% Hispanic, 9–10% multiracial, 2% Black, with small numbers of Native American or Pacific Islander students. The gender balanceis approximately 52% female and 48% male. A co-teaching model is used from kindergarten through grade3, with two teachers per classroom. Class sizes are from 28 to 36 students,although no published student–teacher ratio is available.
