Wasilla, Alaska, is a family-friendly city with about 8,800 people. It is about 35 miles north of Anchorage in the beautiful Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The city is known for its outdoor lifestyle, community events, and small-town culture, as well as its easy access to recreation and bigger city amenities. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District serves the city and the area around it.
