Mrs. Mata's fifth-grade class and Mrs. Gordy's first-grade class recently won the school's "We Caught You in Class" award for attendance and engagement, which recognizes almost perfect attendance and strong enthusiasm in the classroom.
Stone is now part of the district's big plans to improve its facilities. A state-funded project will replace the school's old fire alarm system, making it safer for students and staff.
