Melody Stanberry, an art teacher at the Academy, was one of 21 teachers in the district to receive a $1,000 Education EDGE grant for her classroom projects in September 2025.
Q1. How does Kelly use the liberal arts in her teaching?
Ans. Kelly adds music, visual arts, drama, and creative expression to lessons, which helps students build their confidence and learn more skills.
Q2. What rules do people at Kelly follow?
Ans. Students are taught to be respectful and responsible and to work well with others. Staff members reinforce these habits during academic and arts-based activities.
Q3. How does Kelly keep families up-to-date?
Ans. Parents get newsletters, updates on the arts program, and messages from teachers with reminders, information about events, and other important school news.
Q4. What can families do at Kelly?
Ans. Parents can help out during performances, go to arts events, and assist with school activities that show off students' creativity.
Q5. What does Kelly do to help students stay healthy?
Ans. SEL lessons teach kids how to express their feelings, talk to others, and understand how others feel. When kids need extra help with their feelings, counselors are there to help.
