The new "team-house" program at Edgemont Gardens Elementary School is supposed to help students feel like they belong, make friends, and behave well, according to the latest news. This year, every student, no matter what grade they are in, has been put into one of four houses: Ivory, Colony, Reach, or Zephyr. This puts students of different ages into groups that help each other and make the school a better place.
Q1. How does the school get kids to read more?
Ans. Reading challenges and library programs get students excited.
Q2. Do all the students come together for assemblies?
Ans. Yes, assemblies celebrate successes and make sure that everyone knows what is expected of them.
Q3. What safety steps are most important?
Ans. Staff follow the district's safety rules and get regular training.
Q4. Do teachers work together to plan lessons?
Ans. Teams of teachers at the same grade level work together to make sure that lessons are the same.
Q5. Do families at Edgemont Gardens take part in learning?
Ans. There are family nights and ways to help out in the classroom.
