About Thomas Mosby
Thomas Mosby is an educator, counselor, and coach with decades of experience supporting students in both their academic and athletic journeys. Based in Washington state and currently serving as an assistant football coach at Pacific Lutheran University, he brings a rare combination of K–12 leadership, college counseling, and higher education teaching experience to his work with students. His background includes roles as a career and college counselor, director of career and technical education, principal, and dean of students, giving him deep insight into how course choices, programs, and pathways shape postsecondary options.
In addition to his work in schools, Thomas has taught as adjunct faculty for multiple higher education institutions. He consults widely on classroom management, standards-based curriculum design, and career and technical program development. Over many years, he has developed, supervised, and improved programs that connect students with real-world skills and experiences, from skills centers and outdoor learning schools to internships and teacher preparation programs. His long-standing role as a sports specialist advising professional athletes further informs his understanding of the needs of student athletes navigating both performance and planning for life beyond sport.
With advanced degrees in counseling psychology and education, and a doctorate in education, Thomas is skilled in working with youth and adults, designing impactful learning experiences, and leading teams. His strengths include curriculum development, adult education, leadership, program development, e learning, and teacher training, all anchored in a commitment to helping students and athletes build sustainable, long-term success.
