About Harley Poston

Harley Poston was born and raised in the East Bay and lives with his wife and two children in East Oakland. He has dedicated his career to the education of young people and now focuses on helping students transition to higher education. His goal goes beyond taking the stress out of college applications, he aims to make the college application and life coaching experience reflective, rewarding, and enlightening for his clients.?

Since 2023, Harley has guided clients through the college selection and application process, helping them submit polished applications that authentically showcase their accomplishments and interests. Prior to founding Stress Less College Apps, he taught high school seniors for six years, providing one-on-one in-class support on college search, selection, applications, financial aid, and final decisions. He has had hundreds of conversations with high school seniors about their futures, hopes, anxieties, and challenges in higher education, and has sat down with students to guide them through their entire college applications.?

Harley takes a holistic approach to the college transition experience, guiding students through a structured process of reflection, goal setting, and task management. His portfolio of services begins with the first inquiry into higher education and extends through college life coaching to their last day of freshman year.
