Dave Morris

Dave Morris is a college counselor and CEO of College Athletic Advisor, helping aspiring students and their families find their best college fit since July 2019. With extensive expertise in helping students navigate highly selective admissions, public and regional private admissions programs, financial aid and athletic scholarships, Dave empowers students and families to take control of their college search and facilitates their journey through the admissions process to find colleges where they will thrive. His approach combines personalized college counseling with deep knowledge of athletic and co-curricular recruiting at all competitive levels, leveraging the latest educational technology to help students put their best foot forward, whether applying to highly selective colleges or to institutions identified collaboratively that will allow each student to flourish.?

Dave brings more than two decades of experience in collegiate athletics and admissions to his counseling practice. From July 2017 to July 2019, he served as Head Womens Soccer Coach and Interim Compliance and SAAC Coordinator at The Evergreen State College, where he recruited over 500 prospective students each year, developed a pioneering system that consistently exceeded enrollment targets and optimized college searches for both recruited athletes and non-recruited students. His coaching career includes leadership positions at Green Mountain College, Oxford College of Emory University, where he led his team to the 2015 NJCAA Division III National Championship Final and a two-year record of 29-3-3, Oakland City University, where he was named 2013 ICAA Coach of the Year, Culver-Stockton College, Colorado State University-Pueblo and University of Wisconsin-Stout. Throughout his coaching tenure, Dave recruited and coached dozens of All-Americans and hundreds of successful college graduates, demonstrating his commitment to both athletic excellence and academic achievement.?

As a dynamic leader who has guided programs at highly specialized institutions to success in NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA competition, Dave is an innovative and practical counselor who leverages his experience as both administrator and coach to maximize performance and achievement for his clients. He is a passionate advocate for institutional and student growth, a budget-savvy manager and an effective advocate in the community who understands what colleges are looking for and how to connect promising students with great-fit colleges and schools with students who will elevate the institution. His work includes in-person counseling at high schools and events such as Application Night at Summit Olympus in Tacoma, Washington and college advising at Surf Cup, as well as remote counseling through his website and YouTube channel.
