About Roxana Dommer
Roxana Dommer founded College Calm in 2009 to help high school students experience the college application process as an empowering journey rather than a stressful ordeal. Her background in education and admissions gives her unique insight into what makes applications stand out, having served as an application reader in Stanford University's admissions office and as an admissions counselor at Santa Clara University, where she evaluated hundreds of undergraduate applications. Throughout her 20+ years in education, she has tutored students in reading, writing, math and executive functioning skills, providing comprehensive academic support.
As a native Bay Area resident, Roxana attended local schools including Nueva, Castilleja and Menlo School, giving her deep knowledge of regional educational pathways and college preparation. She holds a Master of Education in Education Policy and Evaluation from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Georgetown University. She lives in San Carlos with her husband, two children and two bulldogs.
