Huntington, West Virginia, is a lively city in the Ohio River valley that has both city and small-town charm. Huntington has a population of about 48,000 people and is home to several middle schools, such as Huntington Middle School and Vinson Middle School, which serve students in grades 6–8. The Cabell and Wayne County school systems focus on giving students a well-rounded education that includes academics, diversity, and extracurricular activities. St. Joseph Grade School and Covenant School are two private schools that offer other options. Huntington is a wonderful place for families because Marshall University offers cultural and educational opportunities, and the cost of living is lower than the national average.
