Lopez Middle School is located at 23103 Hardy Oak Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78258. The campus serves students in grades 6 through 8. Enrollment is reported at about 1,327 students. The student–teacher ratio is approximately 19:1. The student population includes roughly 52% male and 48% female students. State assessment results show that about 77% of students score at or above the proficient level in mathematics, while approximately 81% reach proficiency in reading on Texas state assessments. The school operates as a district middle school within North East Independent School District and provides standard middle-grade coursework supported by electives in fine arts, athletics, technology education, and advanced academic programs. The Lopez Middle theater and debate teams won the Team Sweepstakes award at a competition at Johnson High School in November 2025. The teams also won the 2025 Speech Cup for their performances in both the fall and spring seasons. The results showed how well students did in competitive speech, debate, and theater events.
