Lansing, Michigan, is the state capital and has about 112,000 people living there. It is a medium-sized city. Lansing is in the middle of Michigan and has a mix of city amenities, historic neighborhoods, and a strong civic and educational culture that is shaped by Michigan State University, which is nearby.
