Carmel Middle School is located at 300 South Guilford Road in the central Carmel area of Carmel, Indiana. It serves students in grades 6 to 8 and enrolls approximately 1,070 students each year. Classroom instruction is supported by a student-teacher ratio of about 14:1. Student performance indicates that around 53% meet math proficiency, while roughly 60% reach reading proficiency. The student body includes 50% male and 50% female students. Learning occurs in an academically focused environment with clear standards, and students' development is closely monitored. The majority of houses near the school are priced between $380,000 and $650,000, which matches the good residential nature of Carmel. Most of the area around the school consists of single-family homes and small neighborhood blocks that are walkable. The Carmel Middle School Junior Thespian Troupe earned first place at its regional play competition in late 2025. The troupe is scheduled to perform *The American Revolution in 40 Minutes or Less!* at the Indiana State Thespian Conference in January 2026. The recognition reflects strong student participation and achievement in theater arts.
