Corner Lake Middle School is a public middle school in Orlando, Florida, for students in grades 6–8. The school has about 781 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 18:1, which helps keep classroom sizes fairly even. Corner Lake Middle School has a full academic program that focuses on core instruction, getting students involved, and giving them chances to learn more. The student body is very diverse, with a large number of minority students, which is typical for the east Orlando area as a whole. According to U.S. News, 55% of students are proficient or better in math, and 47% are proficient or better in reading. This puts the school above many district and state averages in terms of academics. The way the school gets money is in line with how Orange County Public Schools do it.
