Waterbury is a mid-sized city in New Haven County, Connecticut, with a population of about 114,000. It is in the Naugatuck River Valley and was once known as the "Brass City" because it had a lot of factories. Healthcare, education, retail, and small businesses are all part of Waterburys economy today. There are a lot of colleges in the city, and its public, magnet, and charter schools serve a wide range of people. Waterbury has a mix of city neighborhoods and hills around them. Parks, museums, and cultural sites make the area more interesting. Waterbury is a good place for families and workers to live because it is in the middle of the state, has easy access to highways, and is always being redeveloped.
