Frontier Academy

Frontier Academy is one of the best schools in Riverton. It is one of two public high schools in Fremont County School District #25. This alternative school has about 60 students in grades 9–12 and a very low student-to-teacher ratio of about 10:1. The school is known as one of the best because it has flexible teaching methods that are tailored to each student's needs. The student body is made up of 32% minorities and 41% students who are economically disadvantaged. The performance data shows that 18% of students are proficient in reading and 14% are proficient in math. Frontier Academy is now adding new credit-recovery modules to its personalized learning paths. These modules let students work on core subjects at their own speed.
