City Academy is adding to its one-of-a-kind urban campus experience by starting new project-based learning programs that use downtown Salt Lake City as an extra classroom. The school recently started a student-led program to make the campus more environmentally friendly by using new composting and recycling systems to cut down on the amount of carbon it gives off. The academy has also put more emphasis on individualized academic planning by adding new workshops for preparing for the SAT and writing personal essays for college applications.
