The senior class at Premier High School of Texarkana recently celebrated their success. Because the school has a flexible, self-paced learning model, some students were able to finish their graduation requirements early. The campus has started new workshops to help students get ready for jobs or college. These workshops teach students how to write resumes and get ready for interviews. The school is also growing its community partnership programs, which let students follow local workers around and learn about different careers. With this mastery-based approach, each student is in charge of their own academic progress and future goals.
