Health Careers High School is one of the best public magnet schools in San Antonio, Texas, and it is for students in grades 9 through 12. It stands out in the Northside Independent School District because it focuses on getting students ready for careers in medicine and health. The school has about 880 students and about 17 students for every teacher. It is known as one of the best schools because it has a 94% Advanced Placement participation rate and tough classes. There are a lot of different types of students at the school. 85% of them are minorities, and 27% of them are economically disadvantaged. The performance data is amazing, with 100% of students being able to read and 85% being able to do math. The school spends about $9,000 per student, which helps create a culture of excellence and college readiness by organizing SAT and ACT testing. Health Careers High School is one of the best schools in the area because of its specialized curriculum and high academic standards. The median home price in the area is about $320,000, and it is one of the best high schools in Texas.

The "We Hold These Truths" musical celebration this March will feature the school's Mixed Choir and the Choral Society. It is one of many special events that Health Careers High School students are taking part in with the local medical community. Recently, the campus has been working to make students healthier and safer by adding new accessibility features, like separate entrances and parking spaces for wheelchairs. Students are also getting ready for special spring events like the Northside ISD Esports Qualifiers and the 2026 Medical Foundation Educational Luncheon, which will help them grow in their careers.
