Carver High School for Applied Technology, Engineering, and the Arts is a public magnet high school in Houston, Texas. It serves grades 9–12 and is part of the Houston Independent School District. The school has about 800 to 1,000 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 20:1, which creates a focused and career-oriented learning environment. Carver High School for Applied Technology, Engineering, and the Arts focuses on specialized programs in STEM fields, engineering, and the fine arts. The student body is made up of people from many different cultures, just like the city of Houston. The school says that about 20% of its students are good at math and 38% are good at reading and English language arts.
