Telles Academy in El Paso, Texas, is getting some benefits from being close to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), which has been involved in projects that could affect schools in the area. For example, UTEP has teamed up with the City of El Paso and the El Paso Independent School District to start "El Paso Computes," a program that teaches K-12 students the basics of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data literacy. Also, UTEP has been working to improve STEM education in the area, which could open up new doors for students at Telles Academy.
