The graduation ceremony for North Heights Alternative School is coming up on May 22, 2026. This is a big deal for the students who are graduating. The school is still focused on helping each student do well in their own way. They recently talked about the district's "See Something, Say Something" program to show how serious they are about keeping the community safe. The school is also part of Amarillo ISD's new flexible education options. These options give students more resources and school choices through the district's growing online platforms.
Q1. Do students get help with standardized tests?
Ans. Yes. Yes, of course! The school has resources to help students get ready for the SAT and ACT tests.
Q2. Do they use traditional periods or block scheduling at North Heights Alter?
Ans. North Heights Alter has a traditional schedule with the same class rotations every day.
Q3. How does North Heights Alter encourage a good environment?
Ans. To make the space safe, welcoming, and open to everyone, people are told to be respectful, work together, and be responsible.
Q4. Are students able to look into more than one career path?
Ans. Yes, North Heights Alter has a lot of different programs that help students find out what they're good at and what they like.
Q5. Do students have lockers in North Heights Alter?
Ans. Yes, students are given lockers in the hallways at the start of the school year.
