The main goal is to teach them everything they need to know about math, science, technology, and engineering, as well as get them ready for college and their future jobs. STEM Prep High School is all about learning by doing, figuring things out, and using what you learn in STEM in the real world. All of these things are related to what kids learn in school, which helps them learn how to think for themselves and be creative. About 22% of students are good at math and about 23% are good at reading (ELA). Kids who go to this public charter school still have to take the same tests and meet the same graduation requirements as kids in other Tennessee schools. Most students take state tests and tests to see if they are ready for college, like the SAT or ACT.
