About Northwest Classen Hs

Northwest Classen High School is a well-known public high school in Oklahoma City that serves about 1,100 students in grades 9–12. It is one of ten high schools in the Oklahoma City Public Schools district and is known as one of the best because of its wide range of academic options and lively student life. Students can take Advanced Placement® courses, and 27% of them do. The student-to-teacher ratio is about 18:1. There are a lot of different kinds of students, with 92% of them being minorities. Northwest Classen High School says that only 3% of its students are good at math and 13% are good at reading. The new Academy of Health Sciences at Northwest Classen High School is now open. It has a state-of-the-art simulation lab that will help students get ready for jobs in the medical field. The school's competitive dance team recently won first place in the state, continuing a long tradition of excellence in the arts. In addition, the campus has started a new Saturday Academy program to give students more help with math and science so they can do well in advanced classes.
