Students from the High School for Medical Professions are participating in the new HE³AT program at Maimonides Medical Center. The five-session, hospital-based program is designed to introduce students to careers in healthcare through hands-on learning and behind-the-scenes tours of clinical departments. The program, named after the fields of Healthcare, Energy, Education, Environment, Agriculture and Technology, enables students from Brooklyn South to meet professionals and explore pathways in medicine. The school’s health-centered curriculum prepares students for postsecondary study and certifications in medical fields, with support from counselors and community partners.
