Brownsville Academy High School is a transfer school with a community school model, working with New York Edge and offering on-site support through Gregory Dickinson, the community school director. The school has a School-Based Mental Health Clinic and a fully accessible building so students have the wraparound services they need to stay on track for graduation. With a low student-teacher ratio and small class sizes, staff give personalized attention to over-age, under-credited students working on their diploma. The school continues to create pathways recognizing multiple ways students can meet graduation assessment requirements, including Career Development and Occupational Studies.
